I AM AN AI ENGINEER

I AM AN AI ENGINEER

Since the start of the previous week I am officialy a member of a startup company!

This is a big thing, really.

SUPER SHORT POST DISCLAIMER!!

3 things regarding this new job

First, velocity. I left the army on Wednesday (2025-12-31). Sunday (2026-01-04), I joined a tech company. Same Sunday, I signed an apartment contract in Tel Aviv. All while trying to balance professional track training 1hr drive from the place I work & live in. (Even though training is in a kinda bad place rn but we'll live that for another post)

Second, opportunity. I was given an amazing and HUGE opportunity. I wasn't in any tech-related army unit. I was picked by this company based only on my skills & my portfolio. I am here thanks to my CTO and thanks to him only. This is actually refreshing... To know that people really can change other's life for the better with one decision. Because this -- this is the hardest step. Landing the first job. Getting into this network. Starting this snowball. The whole "junior's employment problem" thing that is soaring right now throughout the world...

I found this job in 2 weeks. 2 weeks. 2 weeks. 2 w-e-e-k-s. Am I lucky? I don't think so.

I prepared for this moment for 3 years. Ever since I didn't get the tech job I wanted in the army, I promised to myself -- I won't be worse than any person applying to a job AFTER a tech job in the army. This was a vocal promise. A written promise. No army experience will not hold me back.

And... All I did is keeping that promise. I built visuathlete, a SaaS that made money, another big project and even an agent that returned responses as graphs. Kept going to talks and events that have an high-tech related crowd. This kept my dream and motivation alive.

And then it finally happened. The opportunity arrived.

So, first is velocity, second is opportunity.

The third is -- leap. This is a giant leap. Living on my own, in a new city, training with a new coach, with a new REAL DEMANDING job. This is a giant leap. I may be able to process it only in couple of years. Maybe more than a decade. Sometimes things are moving so fast that I get lost in the past. I'm like "didn't this happen like 6 months ago? How am I here so fast?"

The "slowing down phase" might eventually come. In a year or two. But for now, while I'm learning and gaining that REALLY IMPORTANT initial experience, I'll be at SLEDAI.com.

What is SLED.AI

That is actually the reason I wanted to write this post. I wanted it as a backlink to our site to help my company. Here is our site: https://sledai.com.

Our job is to handle RFPs for companies period. End-to-end. From finding, to checking if they are worth pursuing, to writing, submitting and learning from all that process.

We just win RFPs for your company. Simple.

Why does this company need an AI Engineer? (a.k.a somehow that is me)

We involve A LOT of AI and agents in this whole process. Intelligent matching, qualification, writing, reviewing and other systems are all over our platform learning from tens of companies that are already our clients. That is actually our biggest asset. We have this super smart and complicated system that Idan, our CTO built. This is a system that is unequal to anything I ever seen done by a person (in 6 months!!). You need to see this platform to understand. This should take years for teams of developers.

Anyways, those smart systems learn from multiple clients. We learn from the agents, their outputs and gain general experience in the whole RFP world with each day that passes.

It is really amazing what they've built here.

I am so happy to join in such an early stage. We are 8 people. 8 very smart people.

We'll see what the future brings us.

Sorry for dissapearing. I know there should've been a post of December in training but there'll probably be one for both December and January. Remember the velocity thing?

Till next time.
